In this land of opportunity, where you can be anything and buy anything, it's important to ask: who do I want to matter to?
With all this potential in front of us, deciding on a direction becomes crucial.
David served his generation, and then died.

So, who is your generation? Who do you want to matter to? It's not the whole world or everyone online.
Personally, I want to matter to my family, God, my wife, children, friends, and colleagues, my church. I aim to impact worship leaders and worshipers, helping the body of Christ step into corporate encounters.
Who do you want to serve? Who will you spend your time and effort supporting?
Your focus will reveal who you matter to—where you spend your time, attention, and money.
When you default to saying “No,” - you control your time.
When you default to saying “Yes,” - others control your time.
Who you say yes to is really who you serve.
As an idea guy, I often get excited about a new idea and rush off in that direction, only to lose enthusiasm a few days later or move on to another idea. I'm trying to learn how to avoid wasting time by discerning what's truly worth saying yes to before diving in.
Often, I say yes to things I don't care about just to avoid letting people down. But this habit robs me, my family, and others of my full attention and focus.
I remember struggling between two intriguing job opportunities. I felt stuck, paralyzed by the fear of missing out.
My dad once gave me advice that changed my perspective: "Assume both opportunities will be wildly successful and blessed. Which picture of success do you want?"
This helped me instantly clarify my choice because it wasn't about the income but about who I wanted to impact and influence.
When there is a fork in the road, and both signs say “yes,” ask who lives at the end of the road. Who will I be surrounded by?
It all comes back to deciding who you want to be relevant to and who you want to say yes to.
Who do you say an automatic yes to?
Set your inner direction by deciding who you'll serve.
Serve them well so they will also call you “good and faithful” because you served them.
