I never knew you...
Worship Leader Version

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Not everyone who stands on a stage and sings 'Jesus, Jesus' is a part of my Kingdom. But the ones who actually do the will of My Father—the ones who live it in the secret place, not just perform it in public.
Many will say to Me, ‘Lord, didn’t we lead worship in packed auditoriums? Didn’t we write songs that reached millions? Didn’t we usher people into powerful moments in Your name?’
But I will say to them, ‘You sang about Me, but you didn’t know Me.
You moved crowds but not My heart.
You crafted atmospheres but ignored intimacy.
It breaks My heart but —you used My name but missed My heart.’”
This isn’t a word of condemnation but one of sobering clarity. Jesus isn’t against excellence, gifting, or influence—but He’s after authentic intimacy and obedient hearts.
For modern worship leaders, the call is: Don’t mistake public ministry for private communion. Don’t settle for singing about God while drifting from Him in your soul.
Remember, what matters most to God is the relationship - with one another and with Him. Everything else is secondary
