How to get paid to travel

as a tour manager

[Note: this post has nothing to do with worship… but more about my life and a cool new thing going on, so I thought I’d share it with you.]

Earlier this year, my wife Aimee felt stuck and dissatisfied with her job as a recreation manager at a retirement home. She loved the outdoors and the idea of travel, but we didn't have the means to just pack up and explore the world. It felt like being trapped in a cage, unable to break free.

A resident mentioned a tour company one day, sparking Aimee's curiosity. While researching it for work, she stumbled upon a role called a "tour manager." It was like finding a hidden treasure.

Tour managers get to travel with groups, ensuring their trips are enjoyable. Intrigued, she reached out to the company despite no job postings. After some persistence, they invited her for an interview and offered her the job.

Four months later, Aimee was off to Portugal, guiding 30 people on a two-week tour. It was everything she'd dreamed of—an all-expenses-paid adventure with good pay. She was overjoyed, her tears reflecting her newfound happiness. Upon returning home, she left her old job behind and wholeheartedly embraced tour management.

While Aimee was in Portugal, friends saw her photos on social media and asked me if she was on vacation. When I explained it was her new job, they were baffled. Their curiosity sparked an idea: why not create a course to teach others about becoming tour managers?

So, when Aimee returned, we started building this course together. It’s been an incredible journey of learning and growth. Today, we're thrilled to announce the launch of our course: "How to Get Paid to Travel."

If you love travel or know someone who does—maybe an empty nester or retiree—this could be perfect for them.

Please share it with friends and family and on social media… I’m sure someone you know would love to learn how to travel more without spending their own money!
