Some Christians are nervous about AI in worship.

“AI can’t worship God.”

Correct.

But neither can a song.

Songs don’t worship.

People do.

What makes a worship song a worship song?

Not the chords.
Not the lyrics.
Not the songwriter.

The heart that sings it.

Jesus didn’t say:

“The Father is seeking better worship songs.”

not Jesus

He said:

“The Father is seeking worshippers.”

(John 4:23)

Not better music.

Children.

Think of it like a family dinner.

A father invites his kids over for a meal.

One child cooks all morning.
One brings bakery cake.
One grabs rotisserie chicken.
One microwaves a frozen dinner.

Some meals taste better.

Some are healthier.

But the father isn’t grading the food.

He just wants his children around the table.

Worship works the same way.

The song is just the plate.

The heart is the meal.

History proves this.

“O Holy Night” was written by a man known for drunkenness.

The Hillsong song “Healer” became famous even though the story behind it wasn’t true.

Yet millions of believers met God through those songs.

Why?

Because worship was never in the writer.

It was in the worshippers.

AI simply exposes what was always true.

A machine can generate lyrics.

A machine can compose melodies.

But a machine cannot love God.

Only sons and daughters can do that.

So if AI helps create a song…

and a room full of believers sings it to the Father…

that’s still worship.

Because worship was never about the tool.

It was always about the heart.

The real question isn’t:

“Where did this song come from?”

The real question is:

“Is my heart at the table?”

Because the Father isn’t after the music.

He’s after His children.
