A New Excellence

Promised encounter.

I know that when I come to you I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.

Romans 15:29 ESV

Romans 15:29 might not be a verse you've read often. It tends to slip by.

I am convinced that when I come to you, I will come packed full and loaded with the blessings of the Anointed One!

Romans 15:29 TPT

What strikes me is Paul's confidence. He boldly declares that when he visits, he brings the fullness of Christ's blessing. It's like he's saying, When I come to you, Jesus himself is coming. You will experience all of Christ's blessings.

Imagine if worship leaders could say, Every time I stand before you, I promise to bring the fullness of Christ's blessing. When we gather, Jesus is in the room.

Didn't Jesus say wherever two or more are gathered, He will be there among us? Have we watered down what that means?

Imagine worship leaders, teams, pastors, and ushers all coming with the fullness of Jesus. The world would change.

Talking about encounters is one thing; demonstrating them is another. Success comes not from knowledge but from action.

Let's lead people into encounters with Jesus and promise our congregations the fullness of His blessing—not just excellent performance.

Let's refine excellence as encounter.

I can’t think of anything that matters more.

Let's walk in His promises. Let's walk in our beloved identity.

Knowing wherever two or more gather, Jesus promised to be there.

That we can bring His fullness because we've been with Him in our secret place.

Imagine a company of worship leaders standing up and saying with Paul, When I stand before you, I promise to bring the fullness of Christ's blessing.

The world has yet to see, what God can do with a heart that is totally devoted to Him. (Moody) By His grace may I be that man.

In 2025 and beyond may you be that one that comes in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.
